At LEAP Speech Therapy, we provide treatment for a variety of speech sound disorders that can contribute to reduced intelligibility.
Our team treats children with delayed or impaired language skills. These difficulties can include responding to "wh" questions, expressing wants/needs, formulating sentences, following directions, understanding basic concepts, and obtaining new vocabulary.
LEAP Speech therapists also work with children on pragmatic language skills. These skills refer to the appropriate use/understanding of verbal (i.e., what to say and how to say it) and non-verbal (i.e., eye contact, body language, facial expressions, etc.) communication in different social situations.
Additionally, our therapists treat fluency disorders. Fluency disorders (e.g., stuttering) are characterized by the difficulty of speaking in a fluid flowing way involving atypical rate, rhythm, and disfluencies.
